Professor Verica Dragović-Uzelac, head of project, and PhD. Danijela Bursać Kovačević, project associate and member of the investigation team, have participated to international scientific conference „12th European Nutrition Conference FENS“, held in Berlin, Germany, 20-23.10.2015.
The FENS Conference attracted more than 2.000 participants in the fields of food science, nutrition, sustainable food security, food technology, public health, pharmacy, medicine as well as representatives of the food industry from around the world. It was presented over 1.300 contributions in oral presentations and posters through which they presented the latest scientific findings in certain areas.
The latest results obtained under investigation of the Project “The application of innovative technologies in bioactive compounds isolation from organic waste in the wine production” were orally presented through poster presentations.
The topics of presentations were: Winery by-products: anthocyanins recovery from red grape skin by high hydrostatic pressure extraction (HHPE) (Verica Dragović-Uzelac, Predrag Putnik, Zoran Zorić, Damir Ježek, Sven Karlović, Danijela Bursać Kovačević) and High Hydrostatic Pressure Extraction of Flavonoids from Freeze-Dried Red Grape Skin as Winemaking By-product (Danijela Bursać Kovačević, Predrag Putnik, Sandra Pedisić, Damir Ježek, Sven Karlović, Verica Dragović-Uzelac).
Presentation of the results sparked interest of the auditors therefore new scientific contacts were established with the aim of improving future research.
